The Cleveland Indians today signed five more draft picks from the 2009 First Year Player Draft. Today the Indians signed 5th round pick RHP Austin Adams (Faulkner University), 8th round pick RHP Cory Burns (Arizona), 9th round pick RHP Preston Guilmet (Arizona), 16th round pick RHP Dale Dickeron (Nicholls St) and 27th round pick RHP Tyler Sturdevant (New Mexico State). This brings the total number of draft picks signed to nine, including eight within the first 16 rounds of the draft.

Most of these signings were posted a day or so ago in the "Unofficial Signings" post I have been updating every night. The only unknown signing is 27th rounder Tyler Sturdevant. More signings will be announced over the next few days as more players have been signed and will sign by Friday, but official releases tend to lag at least a day or so.
