On Tuesday the Indians announced that four position players have been named to the Arizona Fall League. Outfielder Tyler Naquin, second baseman Joey Wendle, catcher Jake Lowery and infielder/catcher Tony Wolters were all named to the team.  The Indians will also send three or four pitchers, but they have not yet been announced and will be determined at a later date.

The Arizona Fall League is a prestigous prospect league that showcases some of the top prospects in the minors that are close to the major leagues. There are six teams and seven players from five organizations make up each team for a roster of 35 players to a team.

Noticeably absent is shortstop Francisco Lindor, though he has been shut down for the remainder of the season due to a lower back injury. The Indians are erring on the side of caution with  his back to make sure he is healthy for next season, so he was not an option for the AFL roster.
