Indians recall Hagadone, option Lowe to Columbus

The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Hagadone from the Triple-A Columbus Clippers and optioned right-handed pitcher Mark Lowe to Columbus.

Hagadone, 28, has spent most of the season with the Triple-A Columbus Clippers where he has gone 3-4 with a save and a 3.71 ERA in 21 games (26.2IP, 23H, 15R/11ER, 5HR, 10BB, 41K, .242AVG, 13.8SO/9.0IP).  He has limited left-handed Triple-A hitters to a .175 (7-40, 2B, 24K) average against this season. Around his time in Columbus he has enjoyed two stints in Cleveland this year (May 3, June 3-12), going 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA in 5 outings (2.1IP, 4H, 2R/ER, 2BB, 4K).
