Lofgren Offered Back To Indians

Former Indians left-handed pitcher Chuck Lofgren may not be a former Indian for long. Lofgren was taken in the Rule 5 Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers back in December, but today through a reliable source it was learned that the Brewers have offered him back to the Indians.

Before Lofgren can return to the Indians he must pass through waivers. It is very likely he will pass through waivers, and once that happens the Indians can either accept him back and return $25,000 of the $50,000 they received from the Brewers for selecting him, or they can work out a trade which would give the Brewers full control over Lofgren.  More on this later in my spring notebook which should post late tonight.
