Mahoning Valley Insider: 2012 season review

Short season Single-A Mahoning Valley did not have a very good year from a win-loss perspective going 30-45. In fact, of all six stateside Indians’ affiliates, they had the worst record and were one of only two teams not to have a winning record. But in the minors the focus is always on the individuals and much less on the team play. Wins and losses are secondary to the primary focus that is the individual development of each player.

A lot of new players to the organization made their way to Mahoning Valley this season, either from the last two drafts or signed out of Latin America in recent years.
