Manager's Minute '12: Dave Wallace

I recently had a chance to sit down with Low-A Lake County manager Dave Wallace and we discussed a few players on the roster that maybe do not get a lot of notoriety and what they are working on. Several of the players on the roster he has now had for two years both this season and last season when he was the manager at short season Single-A Mahoning Valley, so he has really gotten to know the ins and outs with several of his players.

Q: First baseman Jerrud Sabourin was an undrafted free agent signing last year and is an older player that is not a high profile prospect. But he has had a solid year and really been a leader at first base for your young infield. What are your thoughts on his role with the team this year?
