WILMINGTON, DE – The Wilmington Blue Rocks took home a 2-0 win over the Carolina Mudcats on a soggy Monday night at Frawley Stadium. The game was called in the fifth inning due to unplayable field conditions.

The Mudcats fall to 26-30, while the Blue Rocks improve to 27-29.

Francisco Jimenez (5-3) was stuck with the loss after allowing two second inning runs. He gave up six hits, walked two and struck out one.

Cole White (3-0) earned the win with 2.1 scoreless relief frames for the Blue Rocks.

Wilmington’s Cheslor Cuthbert was the catalyst in the decisive inning. Cuthbert doubled home Brett Eibner following a single, and scored on a two-out hit by Juan Graterol. Cuthbert finished with two hits.

The Mudcats put runners on base in every inning, but grounded into three double plays.

The Mudcats continue the series at Frawley Stadium against the Wilmington Blue Rocks Tuesday night at 7:05.
