Popham Named Player Of The Week

Short-season Single-A Mahoning Valley Scrappers right-handed pitcher Marty Popham was named the New York Penn League's Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Auburn last week. Popham pitched a career high seven innings, gave up no hits, while striking out a career high nine batters and walking one. On the season, Popham is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA, and has pitched 23 innings, surrendering 13 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 23.
