After splitting the week with three wins and two losses, the Clippers have finally started to show consistency. Columbus returns to Huntington Park Monday sporting a 13-15 record and sit second in the International League West standings.

After a week full of roster moves and changes the Clippers reached .500 for the first time this season. Unfortunately for the Clipshow they ended their series with Durham with two losses which brought them back under .500.

The Clippers have two teams coming up in this home stand from the International League North. Facing Rochester first, Columbus won't have an easy go with the Red Wings who are currently 16-12.

Catching Wind:

Carlos Moncrief, RF
26 G, .253 BA, .299 OBP, 23 R, 5 2B, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 22 K, 6 BB, 3 SB

After a painfully slow start for Columbus' right fielder, Moncrief has recently been red hot. Moncrief started the season .163/.226/.224 in 14 games and was 0-1 on stolen bases. In the last twelve games Moncrief has stepped it up producing a .342/.375/.526 line and stealing his first three bases of the season. Even further, Moncrief has stepped up his game on the field recording three assists and is tied for the most in the International League.

Jesus Aguilar, INF
28 G, .340 BA, .436 OBP, 14 R, 6 2B, 7 HR, 17 RBI, 22 K, 17 BB, 0 SB

No surprise Aguilar has found himself once again in the Catching Wind section, the first baseman has not disappointed leading the Clippers in almost all offensive categories. Aguilar currently ranks sixth in batting in the IL. Aguilar may not be a high profile prospect outside of Cleveland, but it is hard to ignore the 6-feet-3 and 250 pound first baseman hitting with a .340/.436/.610 line. With 34 hits through 100 at bats, the big guy has been a staple in the Clippers offense.

Stranded at Sea:

Vinnie Pestano, RHP
8 G, 0-2, 8 IP, 4.50 ERA, 8 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 13 K, 4 BB

After three games in the bigs, Pestano was sent down to Columbus to figure things out. So far Pestano has yet to be consistent. Through his past five appearances Pestano has given up six runs (four earned), and been saddled with two losses. One of Pestano's losses came with a blown save to add insult to injury. The righty's ERA and two bad starts may be deceiving considering he's been lights out in six of his eight outings, but when things go wrong they go very wrong for Pestano.

Important Numbers:

31: Trevor Bauer leads the pitching staff with the 31 batters he's fanned in his 32.2 innings of work.

2: In his first two games with the Clippers Giovanny Urshela has racked up a home run and an RBI for his new club.

News and Notes:

The Cleveland Indians recalled Nyjer Morgan and selected the contract of George Kottaras due to Yan Gomesgoing on the paternity list. Kottaras homered in his first two plate appearances with the Indians Sunday. Josh Tomlin will also make an appearance in Cleveland, as the righty is scheduled to make a start on Tuesday.

The Clippers made additions along with the deductions. Infielder Giovanny Urshela was sent from Akron and has played in two games for Columbus. Brett Brach was also activated after spending time on the 7-day DL.

LC outfielder Brian Ruiz knocks in the go ahead run for the captains in the 17th inning. Bottom of the inning he was put in as pitcher to close the game. Ruiz ended up walking the tying run . They are going to the 18th. Incredible !!!
