Yeah...Tony & I also talked about it off air after the show...which we should have just kept recording...because it could have easily been a two hour show.

Kazmir would be a smart re-sign IMO...he provides upside, because I really think he could continue to progress. He hasn't shown any sign of regression as of yet.

He's only thrown 80 innings so far...My bet is they keep him to the 130 or 140 threshold this year.

I could see a 2-year, 10-12 million deal, with incentives...and with a team option for a third year...

Actually, we did spent a minute or two talking about Kazmir and what his cost might be in free agency or resign. It was something in there when we were talking about the starting pitching.

one thing not mentioned in the smoke signals is could we possibly extend kazmir so we dont have another hole in the dike to fill. he has the pedigree to indicate this year may not be an abberition. I certainly like his progress and his arm is certainly sound. and he isnt 30 yet so he has a few good years of his prime left. Not sure who his agent is but we have certainly helped him relaunch his career and he may give us a home team discount for showing faith in him. Nice interesting hour by the way as for garza dont trade for him as a rental sign him at leaST a couple years or let the trade talks die.
