CLEVELAND—Every new season comes with new hopes for a team as they embark on another six month journey for baseball glory.

At the center of that 162-game summer quest are fans, and the Indians organization want Tribe fans to know they are fully committed to saving you money at the ballpark.

The Indians held their annual “What’s New” media event at Progressive Field on Wednesday where the team introduced new initiatives, bringing you cost savings with the notion to “buy early and save.”

For starters, fans have until Friday Feb. 28 at noon to register for exclusive opportunity to buy Tribe single-game tickets through an online on-sale on Monday March 3. The online offer includes a chance to save on all 81 home games including the Indians home opener on April 4. To register, visit to receive your password for the March 3 online on-sale, as tickets will be at their absolute lowest value of the 2014 season.

Also announced were two other new unique ticket opportunities with the notion of bringing savings to fans both young and old.

Every baseball fan knows you fall in love with the game as a young child, and the Indians are making sure parents can catch a ballgame with their kids at an affordable price. With the purchase of a full-price adult ticket, parents can now buy a new KeyBank kids value ticket which offers kids a $15 loaded ticket for use on non-alcoholic beverages, food or other merchandise. There are a limit of two KeyBank kids value tickets per one adult ticket, and are good for mezzanine and upper box seat locations.

Coinciding with the same buy early and save initiative, fans must purchase these tickets online at least 48 hours in advance to first pitch.

The other new ticket option for fans are Carnegie Tickets, which offers value and bonuses depending on the amount of money fans deposit into their accounts. After making an initial investment to their account, Indians fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for any seating location for any game during the season, subject to availability. As a reward to making the early commitment, fans will receive a bonus (5%-20%) depending how much they invest.

For example, a $500 investment earns a (5%) bonus or an additional $25. The same buy early and save opportunity applies for Carnegie Tickets as well, by purchasing tickets two full days in advance to game time.

Promotional giveaways have been a hit at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario since the start of the 21st Century. The Indians are giving fans the opportunity to secure select promotional items this season with the purchase of an additional $5 promo pass ticket. Available online only, fans no longer need to arrive at the gate hours before first pitch in order to guarantee a select promotional item.

Promo pass tickets are available for just five giveaways the year:

In addition to those promo items, a new Michael Brantley bobblehead has been added to the promotional schedule and will be given to the first 12,500 fans on September 1. The Tribe recently signed Dr. Smooth to a 4-year, $25 million contract extension with an option for 2018.

Five days after the Brantley bobblehead, the fist 10,000 fans through the gates will take home a fan designed t-shirt on September 6. A navy blue t-shirt, featuring a white Indians block "C" collage made by Tribe fan Greg Pennypacker was voted on and chosen in what hopes to be one of the most unique promo items of the year.

And last, but certainly not least, the Tribe also made it official Wednesday as new Brohio Governor Adam Gockowski was sworn in as the inaugural leader of Section 117 for the 2014 season.
