Five Aeros were named to the Eastern League All-Star team today, as first baseman Beau Mills, catcher Carlos Santana, outfielder Nick Weglarz, starting pitcher Hector Rondon and closer Vinnie Pestano will represent the Southern Division roster. The All-Star Game will take place Wednesday, July 15th at Waterfront Park in Trenton, and Akron was one of three teams with five players named to the squad.

I mentioned this on one of the message boards on Saturday night, but there was some concern that Lewis' season may be over as his pain in the elbow has not gone away and he was possibly going to go see Dr. James Andrews this week. Well, supposedly Lewis is in fact visiting Dr. James Andrews, reputed Tommy John specialist. Good news or not, his season appears over.

Durham finishes sweep of Clippers
Durham finished a sweep of the Clippers 9-6 Tuesday night at Huntington Park.
The Durham Bulls hammered four homers against Columbus pitching. The Clippers have lost six straight and 16 of the last 20 games.
