Aeros win on walk off
Baseball is a game of second chances. Pop out in one at-bat, get back to it your next time up. Lose a game, come back the next day and do it again. Strike out to end the game one night, deliver the game-winning single the next.
That was the script Akron

Right-hander Adam Miller is recovering well today after yesterday undergoing a second of two planned surgeries on his right long (middle) finger in Baltimore, MD. The first surgery was performed on April 29th. The two-hour procedure was performed by Dr. Tom Graham at the Curtis National Hand Center as Graham reconstructed the flexor tendon in the digit. Miller started his rehab today on the finger...

High-A Kinston left-hander Eric Berger was promoted yesterday to Double-A Akron. He will move into the rotation, though no word on who he will displace in the rotation. Left-hander Ryan Edell is the logical choice to be promoted, though there is a possibility they go the route like they did with Michael Tejera a few weeks ago and instead promote left-hander Bobby Livingston.
Left-hander Scott...

The loss snapped a season-high seven-game winning streak for Akron, as Connecticut escaped...

Not saying this is anything, but it could be something.
Triple-A Columbus first baseman/outfielder Jordan Brown is not playing today. On top of that, outfielder Mickey Hall was promoted from Akron to Columbus earlier today and is playing for Columbus in their game this afternoon.
This could simply just be a day of rest for Brown since he has not had an off day in forever, it could be...

I had a chance to talk to High-A Kinston third baseman for a future feature piece during my visit to Kinston last week, so be on the lookout for that soon. But that's not why I rang. I cam across a a scouting report that John Klima of Baseball Beginnings did with Chisenhall about two weeks ago at the California/Carolina League All Star Game. Go here to check it out.

Diamonds in Single A: Bryan Price
Welcome back for another Diamonds in Single A article. For the next few weeks this space will be focusing on all of the players the Indians have acquired in trades this year. Last week we focused on the first new young arm, Connor Graham. This week we will focus on the least talked about pitcher from the deals – Bryan Price. Unlike the rest of the new arms, Price was not the feature piece in his...
